Overview
There are three grades of qualification available which are designed for professional consultants and those aspiring to become a professional consultant. The content within these awards develops skills including planning, managing consultancy interventions, the client relationship, communication and problem solving tools and techniques.
Award
Learners must complete one unit to a minimum of 7 credits to achieve this qualification. The minimum Total Qualification Time is 70 hours, including 30 Guided Learning Hours.

Certificate
This Level 5 Certificate is a more extensive qualification, giving you broader knowledge of the role of a professional consultant while focusing on the special consulting subjects appropriate to the role of a professional consultant.
Learners must complete two units to a minimum of 13 credits to achieve this qualification. The minimum Total Qualification Time is 130 hours, including 55 Guided Learning Hours.

Diploma
With a more comprehensive structure, our Level 5 gives you the skills and competencies you will need to become a consultant. This Diploma is the benchmark to attain full IC membership. The units available give you the chance to improve your skills in management and leadership as well as coaching and mentoring should they be chosen. Learner must complete all mandatory units to a total of 25 credits and three optional units to a mininum of 18 credits to achieve this qualification. The minimum Total Qualification Time is 430 hours, including 180 Guided Learning Hours.

Progression
The qualifications provide opportunities for progression onto the Award, Certificate or Diploma in Professional Consulting at Level 7 or the Award, Certificate, Diploma in Mangement and Leadership at Level 5.
